Who

Welcome — I’m Muriel Altunaga
Strategist · Designer · Change Manager
I help organisations shape spaces that work for people, fit purpose, and are future proven.
With over 20 years of experience across workplace, academic, health, research, and corporate environments, I bring together strategy, design thinking, and change management to deliver spaces that support wellbeing, performance, and meaningful transformation.
An architect by training, my work experience spans global design practices and real estate firms such as CBRE, with clients including King’s College London. I’ve led projects ranging from individual interventions to large-scale estate strategies. Whether it’s rethinking how research teams co-locate, developing space briefs for complex stakeholders, or guiding organisations through change, I connect user needs with business goals to create impactful, human-centred solutions.
If you’re looking to unlock the full potential of your space, I’d love to hear from you.
The consultation under Muriel Altunaga’s leadership had been superb and has set a new standard for consultation at King’s. We’d never experienced such a thorough and high quality process at King’s before; that it had been a true consultation and Muriel made a genuine effort to seek and respond to feedback about the full range of options and issues for MH 1, both big and small, showing great respect for stakeholders views.
